My Beach Series..

Asalaam Walaykom everyone. If you follow me on instagram you would of seen a lot of my beach series. I thought it would only be fair to put it on my blog because this little space is basically my online journal, also I know a lot of my readers don't have instagram or twitter to see these post. 

 I had so much fun making this series, which it actually rather funny because most of my friends know I'm not the first one to jump when they say "Let's go to the beach!" but, it was so relaxing, refreshing and more importantly...empty. To me the beach can be one of the most relaxing places when you focus on clearing your mind and taking it all in.

 Lastly I would just like to thank everyone who left such sweet, warm and kind comments on my pictures, I was trying something new by creating a whole series based on the same theme and your encouraging words really kept me motivated. The 'force' is strong with the southern hijaabian squad, haha sorry I just had to.

On the 8th August 2017 I was privileged enough to attend The First Lady event hosted by Fatima Wise (memrsme) and Farah Moosa (Rebel Funk) both granddaughters of the late Fatima and Judge Essa Moosa. Hijaabi goes..."Gangster"

    بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم   السلام عليكم Who said hijaabi's cannot go gangster? The baggy pants and shirt is the perfect way to style yourself as a Muslimah. It is not too revealing and just rather effortless. So if you look at it, this outfit is quite convenient. This specific look is inspired by Chris Brown from one of his music videos.  I am wearing a black tracksuit pants, paired with a long white tank top, black biker jacket with some cool studded detail to add some extra   edge. Perfect for the cold weather we having. A big chunky gold necklace to 'girl-a-fy' it a bit and not forgetting the signature check shirt. Once again proving that any hijaabi can rock any look. Between work and well more work I seriously have no free time, I definitely have new found respect for people working in retail. Moving on to what this post is really about, Cherry Blossom Couture. I had the honor of seeing the collection before it was released and I was astonished. The material itself is of high quality and managers to flow perfectly on ones body without being revealing in any way. The inspiring women behind this beautiful collection goes by the name of Fatimah Meyer. Mrs Meyer says she never really grew fond of the western worlds style in clothing but instead always enjoyed designing her own clothes, this way she stays covered and modest.
