How do you like your winter coat? And a little announcement

Image
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم السلام عليكم Asalaam Walaykom everyone. I just want to say this is going to be my last outfit post for the month of June until the middle of July because Ramadan is going to start tomorrow Insha'Allah and since this is such a blessed month I want to give it all that I got. It is a month of sacrifice and for me as a person I can not think of anything better to sacrifice than my cell phone, it pretty much is glued to my hands. With that being said I will post a 'Ramadan post' in the middle of the month just as a update of things I've been reading or little ways we can all improve, just as motivation for us all. That is just something I feel I need to share with everyone but I promise I will post it from my laptop because like I said my phone will be off. So Insha'Allah I hope you all take full advantage of this blessed month and do not let it fly bye without you knowing something in you has changed for the better. May Allah (swt) accept

Kimono In Winter

Image
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم السلام عليكم Hello everyone. So summer is officially over and winter is upon us. As you can see by the title of this post, we are going to speak about kimonos. This is something we all probably own whether you were on 'trend' this summer or just bought one because they were smacking you in the face as soon as you walked into a store, kimonos grew on all of us. It is that one thing you can just throw over a pair of jeans and a plain white t-shirt. It is truly the perfect beach, summer wardrobe item. So the real question is, if it is so summer perfect why talk about it now? I am going to show you a super easy way to still rock that kimono all winter. All you simply have to do is pair your kimono with a short jacket or blazer, the shorter the better because then your kimono will flow gracefully in the wind and you will still be covered. You do not want to wear a long\meduim length coat with a long kimono because the coat will end up cutting off t

The One's In Black

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم السلام عليكم Good afternoon everyone! I hope you are all doing well. I am going to jump straight into this post because you must of probably seen one of these pictures on my instagram. This was from when my friend, Faiza Davids (newbee blogger) and I decided to take a few 'outfit of the day' pictures.  We were going for a 'Dubai babes' theme. All the hijaabi bloggers I've seen from Dubai really like their outfits plain, simple and neutral colours. I think this adds a really classy and effortless look, which I was dying to try.  Faiza is totally killing it in her all black. Her jeans and t-shirt are both completely plain which draws great attention to her leather fringe jacket. The jacket along with the slightly ripped jeans adds some edge while her block heels brings back her 'girly' side. As for me, I went for a slightly more casual look by adding my boyfriend jeans and sneakers to the equation. I still managed to dress

Al Azhar Fashion Show and Meeting Bloggers

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم السلام عليكم Hello everyone. I seriously have to apologize about how late this post is, I can not tell you how many times I've actually tried to write this post. The reason for this big delay is that my finals are actually 'in motion' and well it's obviously been my main focus. So I ask that you please bare with me on the really slow posts. As you all probably know by now, on the 16 May 2015  a group of young inspiring teenage girls from Al Azhar High School hosted a fashion show at The Venue( yes that was the name of the actual venue). They chose me to be their Mc for the day, I have never done something like that in my life. In fact the last time I could remember speaking in front of a lot of people was when I had to read a poem in front of my whole class a few years ago, this is something that probably always made me freeze up. Alhamdulilah I can say I have rather out grown that fear, the audience was so laid back and kind to my '
