Winter Is Coming...

Image
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم السلام عليكم "Brace yourself, winter is coming." _Ned Stark Sorry I simply could not resist, I just had to quote that and beware I will probably be saying that until it's officially June and winter is here.  In honor of my favorite season of the year, I decided to start it on a high note by combining my love for fashion and Game of thrones, yes you are reading right. I absolutely love every piece of clothing they wear. I wanted to take a hijaabi twist on it, which was not really that challenging because giving the era most of the characters are covered head to toe.  So who did I chose?... Jon Snow of course. The reason for this is because, since he is always in the cold, snowy lands this makes him our perfect target for winter. Besides who doesn't want to be a man of the knights watch. (I don't do spoilers) Do you want to know the best part about this outfit?  The only thing I had to buy was my leather leggings and

Winter Looks : The Statement Coat

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم السلام عليكم Happy Friday everyone! Ahh Friday, a day that brings music to ones ears. As you all probably know by now the Al Azhar fashion show is taking place tomorrow and I am super excited! I know I said this already but these girls have put such a lot of hard work into this event and I am so lucky to be apart of it. I hope you all have your dresses ironed and your masks picked out with every piece of glitter in place, yes I am aware of how random that sounds. On to this post. As you will see in this title, this is one of well many winter coats post. Winter is my favorite season because you can layer as much as you want. Statement coats, leather boots, wool scarves and thick socks, just saying this gets me super hyped up.  The first coat I want to share with you is this statement black and green one. The length is great. I specifically love the cut or shape of this coat, it makes it rather modern and elegant. Since the coat seems quite casual I

Meetings and Islamia College Fashion Show

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم السلام عليكم Hello everyone. As promised here is my second post for the week. This is from last week Friday, 8th May. Two things occurred this night. I had a meeting with the fabulous girls from Al Azhar High School regarding their fashion show this Saturday on the 16th May. The second thing was the Islamia Girls college's fashion show, which was so lively and refreshing. Since I was late due to the meeting I did not  manage to take a bunch of pictures but I will leave a little information where you can find the designers I enjoyed and have a look for yourself. Meeting:   We basically had a run through of what is going to happen for the day. One thing I need to mention is since the theme is 'masked in hijaab' everyone must come dressed more on the formal side. Now do not let that word scare you, all they mean is, it is your time to look all fancy and glamours with your mask on. If you stuck on what to wear just go ahead and grab your last yea

Comic Book Convention and The Walking Dead

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم السلام عليكم Hello everyone! I hope we all had a fantastic weekend and a pleasant Mothers Day . I must say shopping for my mom is a challenge every year because her birthday is on the 28 April, yes two weeks before mothers day, on the bright side she gets showered with gifts right. Just remember that mothers day is everyday, okay. This is oddly enough not a Mothers Day post but the one I owe you all since Friday, yes Friday. I apologize for this being so late because I had a little issue with my laptop, but Alhamdulilah everything is sorted out now. To make it up to you I have two posts for you all. This one and another one on Tuesday Insha'Allah.  On the 2nd May there was a free comic book convention held at Stadium on Main in Claremont. My cousins and I decided the night before that we all really want to go. Since this was clearly a last minute thing we did not arrange any costumes to go in. Honestly I was so disappointed we did not plan be
