Palestine Fashion Show : Designers Review

Ahh Sunday perfect day to sit back, relax and simply just recover from the busy weekend. I have to say sorry for this is rather late but I had a minor difficulty with my laptop but as promised here is my little post on a few looks that was really a sight to see at the Palestine fashion show that passed on Saturday.(24 Jan 2015) If you have not seen my previous post I suggest you do so before going further. 

In my opinion I am not a big fan of tight fitted clothing, as a hijaabi I think I let that boat sail when I decided to wear scarf. With that being said I really loved all the colours and patterns each designer was able to pull off. Each collection had  their very own unique style and spin on things.

The models looked absolutely stunning as they made their way down the runway. The garments were beautifully draped on them and had a wonderful flow to them.

Hijaabi goes..."Gangster"

    بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم   السلام عليكم Who said hijaabi's cannot go gangster? The baggy pants and shirt is the perfect way to style yourself as a Muslimah. It is not too revealing and just rather effortless. So if you look at it, this outfit is quite convenient. This specific look is inspired by Chris Brown from one of his music videos.  I am wearing a black tracksuit pants, paired with a long white tank top, black biker jacket with some cool studded detail to add some extra   edge. Perfect for the cold weather we having. A big chunky gold necklace to 'girl-a-fy' it a bit and not forgetting the signature check shirt. Once again proving that any hijaabi can rock any look. Cherry Blossom Couture

Between work and well more work I seriously have no free time, I definitely have new found respect for people working in retail. Moving on to what this post is really about, Cherry Blossom Couture. I had the honor of seeing the collection before it was released and I was astonished. The material itself is of high quality and managers to flow perfectly on ones body without being revealing in any way. The inspiring women behind this beautiful collection goes by the name of Fatimah Meyer. Mrs Meyer says she never really grew fond of the western worlds style in clothing but instead always enjoyed designing her own clothes, this way she stays covered and modest.
