Chocolate Date and Ripped Jeans

Hello there everyone. Let me start off by apologizing for how late this post is, I recently started working so things have been quite hectic. However there is a bright side which is, I'll be posting a bunch of black and white things you can wear to work, which is of course my dress code.

On to this over due post. This is what I wore last weekend when Zainab, Faiza and I decided to try out the Honest Chocolate café. We got there pretty early so we got one peaceful morning with dreamy chocolate beverages. After taking too many pictures in their stunning courtyard we took a drive to Sea Point where the photoshoot continued on the beach. haha Then of course stopping for lunch on the way home we got my favourite pasta at Atlantic Express, blue train, Sea Point.

Now that you have the whole back story, let us go on to my outfit which is rather simple, because the jeans is quite a statement and I really wanted to compliment the jeans by wearing a plain black shirt with a jersey to match. I decided to bring in some colour with my scarf and shoes( which I'm in love with).

Note: As a hijaabi you can wear any ripped jeans by slipping under a thin black tights, the one I have under has a leather look to it, so it adds more texture.

Hijaabi goes..."Gangster"

    بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم   السلام عليكم Who said hijaabi's cannot go gangster? The baggy pants and shirt is the perfect way to style yourself as a Muslimah. It is not too revealing and just rather effortless. So if you look at it, this outfit is quite convenient. This specific look is inspired by Chris Brown from one of his music videos.  I am wearing a black tracksuit pants, paired with a long white tank top, black biker jacket with some cool studded detail to add some extra   edge. Perfect for the cold weather we having. A big chunky gold necklace to 'girl-a-fy' it a bit and not forgetting the signature check shirt. Once again proving that any hijaabi can rock any look. Cherry Blossom Couture

Between work and well more work I seriously have no free time, I definitely have new found respect for people working in retail. Moving on to what this post is really about, Cherry Blossom Couture. I had the honor of seeing the collection before it was released and I was astonished. The material itself is of high quality and managers to flow perfectly on ones body without being revealing in any way. The inspiring women behind this beautiful collection goes by the name of Fatimah Meyer. Mrs Meyer says she never really grew fond of the western worlds style in clothing but instead always enjoyed designing her own clothes, this way she stays covered and modest.
