What I wear to work : Shirt Dress

السلام عليكم
Hello everyone, so over the past week I've tried my best to take pictures of the outfits I wear to work. I only wish I could show you all some "behind the scenes" for these pictures. Besides the pictures below all my other posts were taken by my different work colleagues and yes everyone wanted to know what I'm doing and why. It ended up being a rather awkward yet funny experience.

 Since I do have a few outfits to show you all I am going to be posting one every second day until the end of the month. I hope that makes up for my absence. 

 Anyway, I only realized afterwards that this look is basically Mr Price featuring a pair of Nike sneakers. Since this outfit is pretty straight forward you will notice in the last picture I ended up unbuttoning the last few buttons and tying the two pieces together, I think it just adds some excitement to the "common" shirt everyone seems to have now. haha

Hijaabi goes..."Gangster"

    بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم   السلام عليكم Who said hijaabi's cannot go gangster? The baggy pants and shirt is the perfect way to style yourself as a Muslimah. It is not too revealing and just rather effortless. So if you look at it, this outfit is quite convenient. This specific look is inspired by Chris Brown from one of his music videos.  I am wearing a black tracksuit pants, paired with a long white tank top, black biker jacket with some cool studded detail to add some extra   edge. Perfect for the cold weather we having. A big chunky gold necklace to 'girl-a-fy' it a bit and not forgetting the signature check shirt. Once again proving that any hijaabi can rock any look. We all have our days were you just don't feel for the "girly-girl" look and just want to let loose and bring your inner "gangster" out.                Tip: If your tracksuit pants is bootleg like mine, cuff it by tucking the bottom of your pants into your sock

Cherry Blossom Couture

Between work and well more work I seriously have no free time, I definitely have new found respect for people working in retail. Moving on to what this post is really about, Cherry Blossom Couture. I had the honor of seeing the collection before it was released and I was astonished. The material itself is of high quality and managers to flow perfectly on ones body without being revealing in any way. The inspiring women behind this beautiful collection goes by the name of Fatimah Meyer. Mrs Meyer says she never really grew fond of the western worlds style in clothing but instead always enjoyed designing her own clothes, this way she stays covered and modest.
