How I Wear Pencil Skirts

Hello everybody, I know we've been having really cold days recently which does excite me, because I have been planning a mini winter lookbook. As for today I thought I would make a post on one of my favorite go-to clothing item, which is a pencil skirt. I think everyone should own one, it is the perfect thing to throw on if you are going for a smart casual look. I think it also looks really unique, a pencil skirt is not really something you think you could wear as a hijaabi because, it is quite 'figure hugging', not full length and some has high slits. 

How did I go about these problems? I paired my pencil skirt with a long 'adorkable' t-shirt which has this cool Star Wars comic print on it. (yes I can name them all. haha). Over that I have a knitted green crop-top,which is so loose and pretty.Now for the bottom, since most pencil skirts are mid-length, like the one I have I decided to put on a tights, black ones to be exact and I really like the way it looks. To top it off I added boots and well obviously a scarf.

There you go, it is very easy to put together and looks super fun! If you want a more formal approach you can put on heels or wedges and change the t-shirt and crop top for a skirt and blazer. Hijaabi goes..."Gangster"

    بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم   السلام عليكم Who said hijaabi's cannot go gangster? The baggy pants and shirt is the perfect way to style yourself as a Muslimah. It is not too revealing and just rather effortless. So if you look at it, this outfit is quite convenient. This specific look is inspired by Chris Brown from one of his music videos.  I am wearing a black tracksuit pants, paired with a long white tank top, black biker jacket with some cool studded detail to add some extra   edge. Perfect for the cold weather we having. A big chunky gold necklace to 'girl-a-fy' it a bit and not forgetting the signature check shirt. Once again proving that any hijaabi can rock any look. Cherry Blossom Couture

Between work and well more work I seriously have no free time, I definitely have new found respect for people working in retail. Moving on to what this post is really about, Cherry Blossom Couture. I had the honor of seeing the collection before it was released and I was astonished. The material itself is of high quality and managers to flow perfectly on ones body without being revealing in any way. The inspiring women behind this beautiful collection goes by the name of Fatimah Meyer. Mrs Meyer says she never really grew fond of the western worlds style in clothing but instead always enjoyed designing her own clothes, this way she stays covered and modest.
