Love me some Denim...

Hello beautiful ladies.
 I hope we are all having a great week, if not remember tomorrow is Friday! You nearly there. Today's post is rather short, what was just going to be my 'OOTD' turned into a mini post because Nuha kept saying "just one more picture" haha.

This outfit is from last week when I attended my cousins high school's fashion show, Groote Schuur High which happens to be my 'old, old' school. 
Fashion shows always makes me really excited because I always end up leaving with the thought that one day I'll have my own one Insha'Allah. 

Speaking of Fashion Shows, you do not want to miss the one created by Al Azhar High School. They are putting in so much effort and hard work to raise funds for their schools science lab. If you follow me on instagram you will see all the details are there.

On to my outfit.
I think denim on denim is probably the most effortless look, there is no real trick to it. All you have to do is pair two different shades and boom! You looking fabulous and ready to seize the day. Over my denim action I am wearing my oversize grey coat and black pointy boots.
Since my denim shirt has this really nice washed out pattern to it I added my white and grey stripe scarf because I simply can not only do one pattern.

On the 8th August 2017 I was privileged enough to attend The First Lady event hosted by Fatima Wise (memrsme) and Farah Moosa (Rebel Funk) both granddaughters of the late Fatima and Judge Essa Moosa. Hijaabi goes..."Gangster"

    بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم   السلام عليكم Who said hijaabi's cannot go gangster? The baggy pants and shirt is the perfect way to style yourself as a Muslimah. It is not too revealing and just rather effortless. So if you look at it, this outfit is quite convenient. This specific look is inspired by Chris Brown from one of his music videos.  I am wearing a black tracksuit pants, paired with a long white tank top, black biker jacket with some cool studded detail to add some extra   edge. Perfect for the cold weather we having. A big chunky gold necklace to 'girl-a-fy' it a bit and not forgetting the signature check shirt. Once again proving that any hijaabi can rock any look. Cherry Blossom Couture

Between work and well more work I seriously have no free time, I definitely have new found respect for people working in retail. Moving on to what this post is really about, Cherry Blossom Couture. I had the honor of seeing the collection before it was released and I was astonished. The material itself is of high quality and managers to flow perfectly on ones body without being revealing in any way. The inspiring women behind this beautiful collection goes by the name of Fatimah Meyer. Mrs Meyer says she never really grew fond of the western worlds style in clothing but instead always enjoyed designing her own clothes, this way she stays covered and modest.
