Hello everyone, this is a look that was taken on holiday. Besides my beach series I do not normally look really busy on holiday. I usually look really simple and a little tired, due to the fact that I am too lazy to put make up on and my family is all for adventure and seizing the day, which starts with not sleeping thru morning breakfast.

 The reason for my 'simple' style choices is because, when I was younger I had the terrible case of over packing, I would drive my dad completely insane with my big bag of clothes. So overtime I just kind of started to wear plain and simple clothes on holiday.

 To shake my boring ways I decided to make it interesting by choosing one piece of clothing with a bright pattern or statement on it but, I still kept it 'packing friendly' by not adding too many layers.

 Thus the bright, bold, floral pants was born. haha I bought the material myself, that is why I have a matching headband. As for the rest of the outfit, it just corresponds with the colours in the pants and makes the whole look softer.

On the 8th August 2017 I was privileged enough to attend The First Lady event hosted by Fatima Wise (memrsme) and Farah Moosa (Rebel Funk) both granddaughters of the late Fatima and Judge Essa Moosa. Hijaabi goes..."Gangster"

    بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم   السلام عليكم Who said hijaabi's cannot go gangster? The baggy pants and shirt is the perfect way to style yourself as a Muslimah. It is not too revealing and just rather effortless. So if you look at it, this outfit is quite convenient. This specific look is inspired by Chris Brown from one of his music videos.  I am wearing a black tracksuit pants, paired with a long white tank top, black biker jacket with some cool studded detail to add some extra   edge. Perfect for the cold weather we having. A big chunky gold necklace to 'girl-a-fy' it a bit and not forgetting the signature check shirt. Once again proving that any hijaabi can rock any look. Between work and well more work I seriously have no free time, I definitely have new found respect for people working in retail. Moving on to what this post is really about, Cherry Blossom Couture. I had the honor of seeing the collection before it was released and I was astonished. The material itself is of high quality and managers to flow perfectly on ones body without being revealing in any way. The inspiring women behind this beautiful collection goes by the name of Fatimah Meyer. Mrs Meyer says she never really grew fond of the western worlds style in clothing but instead always enjoyed designing her own clothes, this way she stays covered and modest.
