Let me start by saying how much I absolutely adore this jacket! It doesn't have any camouflage, but it has these really cool badges sewed in the front and on the sleeves. It has pockets on the front at the top and bottom plenty of space to store your lip gloss, tissues, phone, money....I think you get my point.

 Even though this outfit doesn't seem very "girly girl" it sure is. If you look closer you will see that my jeans along with my boots are a bit on the sparkly side of life. My boots have a ton of studs on them and my jeans have these black diamantes. 

 Under the "wonder jacket" I am wearing a long denim shirt for some extra "coverage". A knitted cream crop-top that gives off this beautiful gold shimmer. 

 To top it all off  I have a black scarf which has these cute little white bows and rope patterns on it.

 Overall I do believe this outfit has "a lot" going on, but it was super comfy, kept me really warm and just rather exciting to look at! You can say this was kind of my version of girly girl meets tomboy. It has its fair share of sweet with a bit of edge.

On the 8th August 2017 I was privileged enough to attend The First Lady event hosted by Fatima Wise (memrsme) and Farah Moosa (Rebel Funk) both granddaughters of the late Fatima and Judge Essa Moosa. Hijaabi goes..."Gangster"

    بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم   السلام عليكم Who said hijaabi's cannot go gangster? The baggy pants and shirt is the perfect way to style yourself as a Muslimah. It is not too revealing and just rather effortless. So if you look at it, this outfit is quite convenient. This specific look is inspired by Chris Brown from one of his music videos.  I am wearing a black tracksuit pants, paired with a long white tank top, black biker jacket with some cool studded detail to add some extra   edge. Perfect for the cold weather we having. A big chunky gold necklace to 'girl-a-fy' it a bit and not forgetting the signature check shirt. Once again proving that any hijaabi can rock any look. Between work and well more work I seriously have no free time, I definitely have new found respect for people working in retail. Moving on to what this post is really about, Cherry Blossom Couture. I had the honor of seeing the collection before it was released and I was astonished. The material itself is of high quality and managers to flow perfectly on ones body without being revealing in any way. The inspiring women behind this beautiful collection goes by the name of Fatimah Meyer. Mrs Meyer says she never really grew fond of the western worlds style in clothing but instead always enjoyed designing her own clothes, this way she stays covered and modest.
