Who is this "southern hijaabian?"

 السلام عليكم

 Just another muslim teenage girl living in Cape Town, South Africa. I go by the name of Laaiqah Isaacs. This being my first post I want to try and keep it short and simple.

Let me begin by saying I honestly believe hijaab is a way of life and by that I mean the way of a muslimah. We cover up because it is our duty and to please the all mighty. Not only is it a covering of the hair and body but its the way we speak, our frame of mind, not wanting to do it for anyone but yourself. In todays day and age it might not be that easy to dress "properly" while trying to keep up with the lastest fashion trends. We don't want to look plain and boring because at the end of the day we all have our own unique style and what to stand out of the crowd, be noticed.  

Now tell me who said you can't be covered up and still look absolutely stunning?!

I don't believe I am a fashion expert in anyway. All I know is that I will try my best to inspire my beautiful sisters of Islam. Trying to prove that there is no excuse not to dress the right way.

Hijaabi goes..."Gangster"

    بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم   السلام عليكم Who said hijaabi's cannot go gangster? The baggy pants and shirt is the perfect way to style yourself as a Muslimah. It is not too revealing and just rather effortless. So if you look at it, this outfit is quite convenient. This specific look is inspired by Chris Brown from one of his music videos.  I am wearing a black tracksuit pants, paired with a long white tank top, black biker jacket with some cool studded detail to add some extra   edge. Perfect for the cold weather we having. A big chunky gold necklace to 'girl-a-fy' it a bit and not forgetting the signature check shirt. Once again proving that any hijaabi can rock any look. Between work and well more work I seriously have no free time, I definitely have new found respect for people working in retail. Moving on to what this post is really about, Cherry Blossom Couture. I had the honor of seeing the collection before it was released and I was astonished. The material itself is of high quality and managers to flow perfectly on ones body without being revealing in any way. The inspiring women behind this beautiful collection goes by the name of Fatimah Meyer. Mrs Meyer says she never really grew fond of the western worlds style in clothing but instead always enjoyed designing her own clothes, this way she stays covered and modest.
